Tobin Brinker’s Solutions to Community Issues
Tough times require strong leaders. Strong leaders roll-up their sleeves, solve problems, and find ways to make our city better. As your council member, that’s exactly what I’ve done during my first term. This November 2011, I humbly ask for your vote for San Bernardino’s 3rd Ward Council Member for a second term.
Determination to Balance Our Cities Budget
Just like your family, our city must operate within its budget. When the recession hit, I voted to cut spending and maintain a balanced budget. Rising pension costs threaten basic services. I have asked that city employees earning over $100,000 dollars start paying the employee share of pension costs. (Estimated savings $3.5 million dollars)
Commitment to a Safer San Bernardino
Murders down 32%, car theft down 34% and robbery down 27%. Improved graffiti removal- faster response time, paint matching, and designated graffiti police officers. Reduced truancy with increased patrols and partnering with SBCUSD.
